Pediatric Well Visit Schedule | Mansfield Pediatrician

At Julie Tomberlin MD PA, it is one of the most rewarding parts of our work to watch our patients grow, develop, and thrive over time.

Regular well child visits are an essential part of pediatric care. These visits allow us to monitor your child’s growth and development, provide preventive care, and identify any concerns early—before they become more serious.

As your trusted Mansfield pediatrician, we follow the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommended schedule of visits and screenings, ensuring your child receives evidence-based care at every stage.

While the AAP does not specifically include a 2-week visit, we recommend this visit to closely monitor weight gain, feeding, and early newborn adjustment, and to provide additional support for parents during this critical time.

Newborn & Infant Visits

Your child’s first visit with us will typically occur a few days after hospital discharge.

At this visit, we:

  • Evaluate feeding, weight gain, and hydration
  • Check for early newborn concerns
  • Answer questions and support new parents

The first year of life is a time of rapid growth and development, which is why visits are more frequent during this stage.
