Biography

Gina Seong earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 2005 and began her nursing career in the Cardiac Step-Down Intensive Care Unit at University of Michigan Health. She returned to the University of Michigan and earned her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner studies in 2009, with a focus on community health nursing.

As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Gina has practiced in a variety of settings, including primary care in Washington, DC, and Vienna, VA, and urgent care across Washington, DC, Virginia, and Maryland. She also served as a Primary Care Provider with the U.S. Department of State, caring for U.S. diplomats and their families at U.S. Embassy clinics in Thailand and India, and provided medical care to underserved communities through an NGO in the Philippines.

Gina is board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is bilingual in English and Korean. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and three sons.
