Biography
Dr. Fleming feels that his role as a doctor is to educate the patient about all her alternatives to leading a healthy life. Through listening to the unique nature of each patient’s history, he can provide treatment choices which complement the particular lifestyle of that person.
In order to achieve optimum quality of life for the women for whom he cares, he is able to provide advanced surgical care for a variety of gynecologic problems such as abnormal bleeding and “falling” of pelvic organs. His experience allows him to practice not only routine and high-risk obstetrics, but advanced laparoscopic surgery and management of complex medical and surgical problems. He is skilled in da Vinci robotic surgery and serves as a trainer for other physicians in this technique.
A passionate interest is specific testing for hormone deficiencies that may prevent women from living life to the fullest. “Many women feel fatigue, “mind fog”, poor sleeping and loss of sexual desire. This feeling can often be addressed by treating deficiencies of the ovaries, thyroid glands, and adrenal glands that occur with time.” Many women find a return of vitality and sense of well-being from these treatments.
Dr. Fleming is a native Texan. He supported himself through college and medical school by working a variety of jobs including rancher, carpenter, and teacher. He began his training in general surgery but changed to obstetrics and gynecology when he realized this area was his true calling.
