Biography
Brenda received her undergraduate nursing degree in 1993 from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. As an RN she worked as a public health nurse in rural Washington State, on a mobile clinic for the uninsured sponsored by UOM Baltimore, and for Hospice of the Chesapeake. She completed her graduate degree with a Masters in Nursing in 2007 from the University of Maryland. After graduation, Brenda worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide primary care to the underserved population of Anne Arundel County at Anne Arundel Medical Center's Outreach Clinic for six years. She has worked for 7 years in the Urgent Care Clinic at Annapolis Internal Medicine. She has additional training in Women’s health, small office procedures, Herbal Medicine, and Medical Cannabis. Brenda loves traveling, camping and photography. Brenda enjoys participating in Medical Missions and has served in the Peace Corps in Central America for 3 years where she learned to speak Spanish.
