Proudly Part of Privia Health
Inspire’s Group Wellness programs are led by our team of physicians, specialists and partners. These visits provide a space for education, support, and shared experiences among patients, fostering a sense of community and promoting self-management of health conditions. Whether virtual or in-person, our goal is to provide a supportive environment of shared experiences and encouragement within our community.
Also known as Shared Medical Appointments, group medical visits bring together individuals with similar health concerns for extended visits that combine one-on-one medical care with group education and support. Led by a licensed provider, these sessions offer a more in-depth experience, allowing time for personalized guidance, questions, and shared learning. Patients benefit not only from professional care, but also from the motivation and connection that comes from a supportive group setting.
The key benefits of a group setting include:
Typically a group will consist of 5-10 individuals. These sessions provide an educational experience, followed by an open discussion (Q&A) with your healthcare providers, designed to help you make positive lifestyle changes.
Group visits are billed to your health insurance as a primary care visit. You should expect to be responsible for any associated co-pay, co-insurance or deductibles. Because group visits are billed under a medical provider, specific coverage for nutrition-related services is not required.
Respecting privacy and confidentiality is extremely important to us. Group discussions are confidential and all participants will be asked to sign a confidentiality consent agreement prior to participation. Telemedicine sessions are conducted via a secure and HIPPA-compliant platform and sessions are closed to only registered participants. Group visits are never recorded for public, private or internal use.
We believe that nourishing your body is the path to sustainable wellness. This program is a transformative journey designed to Inspire positive and lasting change. This program equips you with the tools to choose foods that align with your health goals and avoid the confusion surrounding today’s food options.
