Biography

Dr. Arnold brings more than three decades of military, public health, urgent care, and primary care experience to her patients, with a special focus on caring for individuals with complex medical conditions, preventive cardiovascular screening, Medicare patients, and those with military backgrounds. Her extensive experience treating active-duty service members, veterans, and their families gives her a deep understanding of the unique healthcare needs facing military communities and aging adults. She is passionate about building long-term relationships with patients and helping them navigate complicated health concerns through comprehensive, personalized care.

Dr. Arnold earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine (formerly Hahnemann University School of Medicine) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, before completing a transitional internship at Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia. She began her 14-year Navy career with flight surgery training at the Naval Aviation and Operational Medicine Institute in Pensacola, Florida, followed by an assignment at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, with the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing.

After returning stateside, she completed a family medicine residency at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton in California. She later served with Fleet Surgical Team Five in San Diego, providing medical care to Sailors and Marines aboard multiple naval ships. Throughout her military career, Dr. Arnold held several leadership roles, including deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as Group Surgeon for Marine Aircraft Group 16, where she oversaw casualty evacuation operations in western Iraq. She later served as Senior Medical Officer at Miramar Branch Clinic.

Driven by her passion for prevention and whole-person care, Dr. Arnold returned to the East Coast to complete a preventive medicine residency at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. She subsequently served as the preventive medicine physician for the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force and deployed again to Iraq during the military drawdown.

Following her Naval service, Dr. Arnold transitioned to the U.S. Public Health Service, serving with the U.S. Coast Guard in Cape May, New Jersey, before returning to Maryland to manage post-deployment health programs for the Department of Defense. She completed her distinguished federal career as a medical reviewer for the Food and Drug Administration in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Prior to joining Inspire, Dr. Arnold practiced as a staff physician with Patient First and MedStar Health Urgent Care centers, where she continued caring for a diverse patient population with acute and chronic medical needs. She is thrilled to return to primary care, where she can focus on preventive medicine, cardiovascular risk reduction, chronic disease management, and delivering compassionate care to Medicare patients and veterans.

In addition to traditional primary care, Dr. Arnold also incorporates integrative medicine approaches into her practice. She completed acupuncture training while stationed with the Air Force and volunteered for 11 years as a physician acupuncturist at the Air Force Integrative Medicine Center at Malcolm Grow Medical Center. She also enjoys utilizing acupuncture and myofascial pain management techniques to help patients improve pain, mobility, and overall wellness.
